Soybean oil:

Vegetable oil extracted from soybeans used for feed purposes that is orange or light brown in color. Soybean oil contains unsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidant tocopherol that are beneficial for health. Soybeans are the best source of lecithin that has beneficial effects on memory.  



Palm oil:

A kind of vegetable oil extracted from palm kernel. It has recently been used as biofuel and its price has risen due to increased global demands. Malaysia is the main producer of palm oil in the world. Due to its high beta-carotene content, palm oil is reddish in color which is easily distinguished from oils obtained from kernel of other fruits.  

 Differences exist in color and in the amount of saturated fat in various palm oils. While the medullary cortex oil has 41% saturated fat, oil from kernel of palm and coconut contain 81 and 86% saturated fat, respectively. Coconut oil, along with the palm oil, is one of the few highly saturated vegetable oils that is semi-solid at room temperature containing several saturated and unsaturated fat as glycerin (1% saturated), myristate (1% saturated), palmitate (44% saturates), stearate (5% saturated), oleate, linoleate and alpha-linoleic acid. Like all kinds of vegetable oils, palm oil does not contain cholesterol. However, consumption of saturated fat gives rise to blood HDL and LDL. Palm oil also contains vitamins E and A which elevate chick immune system.

Rapeseed oil

Rapeseeds (brassica napus) contain 25-50% oil, 18-24% protein and 12-20% seed coat. Rapeseed is an important oilseed crops in temperate regions with relatively wide range of climatic adaptation. Improved cultivar of rapeseed (Canola) has much less erucic acid and glucosinolate, and because of low content of anti-nutritional compounds is more suitable for human and monogastric animal consumption than non-modified variety. Because of high unsaturated fatty acids and no cholesterol content, rapeseed oil has high nutritional quality and there is a large variation in fatty acid composition among varieties and in different conditions. Some types of rapeseed in the canola group have less than 0.3 micromoles of glucosinolate per gram meal and their oil contain a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids and about 2% or less of erucic acid and their oil is used for food purposes.

Considering that heat increment produced by poultry special oil is much lower than cereals, it is recommended to supply part of the energy requirements by the use of this oil to reduce mortality particularly in warm weather conditions and in heavy breeds such as broilers and broiler breeders.

Recommended amounts in broiler diets: 5 kg per ton of starter and 10-40 kg per ton of grower and finisher under the supervision of nutritionist. 10-40 kg per ton is also recommended for laying hens and breeders diets.
